lurking asian-immigrant csis spys

vancouver, that time when i was living in room five of the canadian hotel at davie and seymour. i came home to my bed sitting room and found a note on the counter asking me to defrost the fridge, also several items i had left on the bed seemed to of been gone through.

the hotel superintendent, kinney was his name if i recall correctly, knocked on my door and explained what happened. he said that the new owners, asians, did a room maintenance check, he told them they had to give notice ahead of time but they ignored him. he seemed to want to distance himself from the incident by telling me about it, as though he could get in trouble. I didn't think much of it, not knowing at the time it was illegal, though I thought it strange they would go through a persons private property, as though they were looking for something, and not limit themselves to the property of the hotel.

uses for this incident in a fiction. a person stops for a falafel at a restaurant near the corner of granville and robson, he orders his meal and is sitting on a chair when a woman rushes in and talks to the person who took his order. she claims to of left an envelope with money in it on the counter, thousands of dollars in money, when she was in earlier and ate there, she forgot it there the whole time she was eating and left without it, did any one hand it in. the staff, an asian, tells her no and when she leaves he asks the person waiting for his meal if he noticed an envelope on the counter when he came in. he says no the counter was empty when he arrived.

after eating the person returns to his bed sitting hotel, newly bought by asians, to find his room had been entered while he was out, his things gone through and a note asking him where he had hid the envelope from the restaurant and would he please defrost the fridge. while he is reading the note there is a knock at the door, it is the building superintendent, he wants to explain what happened earlier in the day. he says the new owners did a maintenance check but also went through some of his things he had laying on the bed. he tried to tell them this was not communist china where they could enter without giving advance notice, and they certainly shouldn't be going through private possessions but they ignored him.

and then...

garden--accidental mill stones

a spot garden near the intersection of Jarvis and queen streets. wild weeds growing around discs of concrete once used to hold sign posts, reminiscent of the millstones once used to mill grain, and some people decorate gardens with.

lurking "operation plant pilferers"

reading this article and watching the news video about plant pilfering in leslieville reminded me of something that happened to me on or around two thousand one, and made me think this recent plant theft may have its roots in a surveillance or recruitment operation of csis.

that time while I was living at sixteen chandos avenue in toronto. one of the other tenants, p.l, came to me and said a woman stopped out front of the house and had picked a plant out of the front flower bed, not the flower, the whole plant had been taken up by the roots as far as he could tell. and further he said it was the old woman in the house down-across from sixteen. she was sitting out there on her front steps he said.

strange feeling about it all but I went out to see if the flower was gone and when I could see it was I went back up the steps where she could see me and did a little dance miming plants being picked from the flower bed. occurred to me it may of been him who picked the plant and not her.

how this could be used in a story and is plant pilfering a csis operation. csis has assets going around vandalizing peoples attempts at beautifying the city. they rip up plants in hopes of being confronted so they can try to get the person to assault them so they can lay charges against the gardener.

they have been trained to get people to cross the boundary into physical violence. then if they get assaulted by the gardener it is suggested they could drop charges as long as the gardener will do something for them in name of national security.

they have infiltrated gardening clubs around city to spy on the city beautification and guerrilla garden movment. they want to create a false flag incident using someone who has had plants stolen, their assets attend meetings and argue for violent action against plant thieves to get people excited till the person goes postal on someone looking at thits plants. the goal, to make the canadian populace feel they need to have every planter under a security camera monitored by csis in order not to be attacked by spot gardeners.

memorial beveled-corner plaque

memorial plaque below the construction or completion date of the hydro building on college street and yonge streets. interesting as townscape in the way the corner of the building has been beveled and the front continued onto the beveled face before meeting the side of the building on the alley.
